Best Things to Do in Fort Lauderdale if you’re on a cruise

If your cruise starts or stops in Fort Lauderdale we’ve come up with a perfect list of what to do in Fort Lauderdale in your short time. The list assumes you have a day to kill leading up to your cruise or after your cruise.

8:00A – Wake up and head out for a half day of fishing on one of our Fort Lauderdale deep sea fishing trips.  This is really one of the best ways to see Fort Lauderdale, because you’ll get great views of yachts and mansions on the Intracoastal Waterway, plus views of the cruise ships, and of course of the beach.

12:00A – Return from fishing and have lunch at Bahia Cabana bar and restaurant next to the Fort Lauderdale fishing boats.

2:00pm – Head back to your hotel and take a nap by the pool. You’ll need to rest up for

5:00pm – Head down to Himarshee for some great 2-4-1 or 3-4-1  Happy Hour specials. All the bars are decent, but Tarpon Bend right near the rail road tracks is fishing themed and also one of our favorites. Consider taking a walk through the park nearby on the new river.

8:00pm – Walk (20 minutes) or cab it on over to Las Olas for a great meal at any of the restaurants. We recommend Johnny V for its hip atmosphere and exceptional food. Try the blue corn crusted calamari!

10:00pm – Head back to your hotel or back to Riverfront or Himmarshee for Fort Lauderdale’s best nightlife.
