How long should I go on a fishing charter for?

We offer all types of fishing charters in Florida, but  our deep sea fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale are among our most popular. One of our most frequently asked questions about fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale is what is a good amount of time.

There’s no clear answer because there are so many factors but read below and see what category you fall into… keep in mind though, they call it fishing and not catching for a reason and the more time you have on the water, the more time you’ll have to find the fish and catch them!

1.    Trying out fishing for the first time
Go for four hours in the morning. You can always ask the fishing captains in Fort Lauderdale to stay out longer and if he’s available you’ll have no problem. Or he can take you back to the dock and you’ll probably be able to find another Fort Lauderdale Fishing Guide.

2.    Going with fishing with young kids who have never fished before…
Half day definitely. Enough said.

3.    Corporate Entertaining
Book the whole day and feel out your clients on the boat. You don't want to send them in early if they’re having a good time, but if the fish aren’t biting that day or people are bored you can always head back in early.
